A tale of skrímslis, elves and friendship
The skrímslis of Lavaland are gentle and cheerful creatures who are only seen by children. Each skrímsli has their own special power which they have acquired from the unique Icelandic nature. After living with human families for centuries, they are suddenly forced to leave their homes, and for the first time in their lives prepare for the cold, harsh winter of the north on their own. The skrímslis need to learn how to work together if they are to survive the winter storms which lie ahead.
When everything seems to be going wrong, they are given a helping hand and, as a result, discover the true power of friendship.
